Client had an existing listing site that was expensive to maintain, challenging to get changes made by the developer, and didn't allow for content changes by the client. A new WordPress site was created using custom Understrap parent/child themes to be able to exactly match the look and feel of the existing site. Formidable Forms used for listing forms/entries/views, user registration, and geolocation. WooCommerce with Woo Subscriptions used for listing subscription cart, checkout, and management as well as Stripe integration. Advanced Custom Fields plugin used to allow client content updates. Mailchimp used for email marketing and audience management. This project required extensive custom HTML, PHP, JS, and Sass. UI via Bootstrap. Local development using Node and Gulp to auto-compile Sass. Code saved in a Git repo and propagated to staging and live servers. Chrome's Lighthouse used to test site performance in mobile and desktop and changes made as per findings. SEO optimized via The SEO Framework plugin.
Client had an existing WordPress site, but needed more robust pickup, delivery, and shipping functionality. A new Shopify site was created that uses Zapiet's Pickup + Delivery app to this end. A custom workflow was set up that automatically pushes new order info from the Pickup + Delivery app to an AirTable spreadsheet (via Zapier Zaps) for the kitchen staff to use for fulfillment. Delivery order info is automatically sent to a third party local delivery service (Rapidus). Individual products can be marked as available for pickup, delivery and/or shipping and fulfillment is prevented when a product isn't in stock. Site owner can control the exact dates each product is available for pickup, delivery or shipping and the amount of time needed to prepare each item. The site was given a completely new look using a pre-built Shopify theme that was customized using Liquid and HTML. The pie carousel on the home page is bespoke. Additional features included custom pickup order slips as well as discount codes and gift cards functionality.
Client has two brick and mortar shoe stores and had a hand-coded e-commerce site that was problematic and no longer supported by the developer. A new WordPress site was created that uses WooCommerce for product and order management and cart, checkout, and sales tax functionality. Authorize.net WooCommerce extension used for credit card payment processing. WooCommerce Multistore plugin used to sync products, stock and orders between the client's WooCommerce stores. ShipStation WooCommerce plugin used for order fulfillment (order import, batch label creation, and customer communication). AfterShip Tracking WooCommerce plugin used to drive customer loyalty and additional sales. Mailchimp used for email marketing and audience management. Mobile-first, store-focused WooCommerce theme chosen (Fifth Avenue) that allows the client to easily customize content blocks, fonts, colors, and more. This project required extensive custom HTML and PHP and use of the Advanced Custom Fields plugin.
